ABOUT US

Recipients:

In 2017, Mission: Socks collected and donated socks to Atlanta Mission homeless shelters, a very powerful ministry showing the Light of Christ to the homeless of Atlanta, GA.

However, in 2018, God led us to stay local, and we decided to raise socks for the Stewpot Homeless Ministry in Jackson, MS.

Our Story:

God gave Carver the idea for this ministry in the fall of 2017,and in 2017, we asked for socks with cool and colorful designs on them for the homeless to, simply, put a smile on their face, especially the children! After opening the collection to his Bible Study group, God led Carver to do more. His school put drop off boxes in their halls and at their FCA meetings. God also moved to two different churches in the area that helped out by raising socks through their services without us asking! When we had all of the socks, Carver and his Bible Study group, prayed over each and every donation in a night of prayer. Then, Carver and his family counted the donations. Through much prayer and hard work, we raised 665 pairs of socks that we decided to give to Atlanta Mission homeless shelters, that year.

It was amazing how God moved through our first year, and we can't wait to see how he moves in 2018!
